JOB TITLE: CNA-Hospice Aide PRN POOL
DEPARTMENT: Nursing
REPORTS TO: Nurse Care Manager
LOCATION: Rucki Hospice Care Center, 5760 Dean Dairy Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Clinical Care Manager, the CNA is responsible for assisting with direct patient care within the scope of their practice. Provides personal care to the patient and assists with activities of daily living in the Inpatient unit. The CNA is responsible for maintaining his/her own clinical and mandatory education requirements and for meeting the established standards of their profession as well as those accountable for his/her practice, assigned duties/patient care, and is an advocate for patients/families and their profession. Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient populations and cultural diversity during the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Promotes an environment of care. Supports the organizational vision and mission.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current certification in the State of Florida as a Certified Nurse Assistant, with a minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred
- Must maintain current CPR certification
- Experience in caring for the terminally ill desired
- Experience caring for others with life threatening illness preferred
- Bilingual preferred
